Dodge officially unveiled the "hot"Charger SRT-8 2012
Dodge introduced the most powerful modification of the redesigned sedan Charger.
The new SRT-8 differs from the Charger on the front bumper with enlarged air intakes and the modified bonnet. "Hot" version has a new cast aluminum alloy wheels with size 20 inches and has a new rear spoiler.
World premiere of the car will be just two days later (at 11:02) of the opening up Motor Show in Chicago. Dodge Charger SRT-8 will be the HEMI engine with a volume of 6.4 liters and eight cylinders. Its power is 465 horsepower, the engine combines with an automatic gearbox with five degrees.
According to the manufacturer, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 mph in 4 seconds, maximum speed of the SRT-8 has 280 hp Furthermore, "hot" Charger will be upgraded steering system, a completely new exhaust system, powerful brakes by Brembo size brake disc 360 mm front and 350 mm rear, and a new automatic adjustable suspension.
The suspension can be adjusted automatically for each particular driving situation, taking account of speed, steering angle, the force with which he has pressed the throttle or brake this and more.
The driver in turn can choose between two modes of suspension - "automatic" or "sport". Dodge Charger SRT-8 will be assembled at Chrysler's plant in Canada.
U.S. sales will begin in the spring of this year, but the company still have not announced the price of the car.
