Euro NCAP today released its list of the top five cars that passed handily in 2010 crash tests. The awards were the BMW 5-Series, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Honda CR-Z Kia Sportage, Toyota Verso, have dominated the rankings in their respective categories "Executive", "Small Family", "Supermini", "SUV" and "Citadines".
In 2010, the agency examined 29 new models: only 65% received five stars, compared to 90% in 2009. The new regulation has significantly tightened is the consequence of the fall of 5 stars.
